Vintage Dreams by Jannie Lund

Vintage Dreams

Jannie Lund

I received this book free from the For Love of a Book Group and/or the author in exchange for an honest review.
VINTAGE DREAMS is the story of Scott and Danielle. Scott is on his way to his home town of Morello Cove, a place he never wanted to return to. When he was five years old, his dad had a construction company and used inferior products. People were hurt and even died because of his shady business practices. Scott was beat up because of that. When he moved away he never thought he would ever go back. Yet, he is on his way to meet the owners of Annata, a clothing boutique on the boardwalk. He has a client that wants to buy their location for their coffee shop chain.
Annata is where Scott meets Danielle, one of the owners. She is annoyed from the minute she meets Scott and is downright rude to him. Scott is not one to give up a fight and enjoys sparring with Danielle. Danielle has no interest in his client’s offer and wishes Scott would just leave town already. VINTAGE DREAMS will have you laughing out loud and snickering with the banter and sarcastic comments these two are involved in.
Jannie Lund takes her time introducing you to each of the characters and their problems and how they are feeling. I immediately felt as if I knew them all and was right there at the kitchen table hashing things out. In no time, I was totally sucked in to their lives and the issues they were dealing with. The plot is very interesting and had me turning the pages late into the night. I have never heard or read this author before but after reading VINTAGE DREAMS I’m looking forward to reading more of this series. Be prepared not to do anything else once you start reading this well written and hopeful tale. I found myself thinking about all of these wonderful characters long after I finished reading.
