Maddy Powers life has been a continuous round of cocktail parties and charity events up until a few months back when she had been rescued by a young man who had basically branded her with one very hot and scorching kiss.   After sharing many emails back and forth, Maddy wanted to see if what she felt meant as much to him as it did to her.

Bran Palladino has a dark secret that has kept him from pursuing Maddy even though thoughts of her continue to torment his very soul.  But when Bran stumbles upon Maddy being held by kidnappers, its time for him to put up or shut up… because he realizes now he couldn’t live without her.

With strong characterizations and a great plot this adventure was full of high action and excitement.  Naturally when you have ex-Navy seals involved you know the action will be full of gunfights and high adventure.   Facing the good guys against hired professional mercenaries who also knew how to fight meant the suspense continued throughout and was non-stop edge of the seat excitement.

The romance was sensual and well done without blow by blow descriptions of intimacy.  Dialogs were oftentimes fun and humorous.  Walker’s writing was clear concise and to the point making this a fast read for me which I enjoyed immensely!
