Lady Sophie Windham only wanted a few days of quiet solitude before joining her family before she joined her family for Christmas in Kent. Before Sophie knew it one of her servants took off leaving Sophie holding the tweeni’s 2 month old infant and trapped by a London snowstorm turned blizzard. Now she finds herself with an abandoned baby and thankfully one kindly, handsome stranger who recognized her dilemma and offered his assistance.
Vim Charpentier sees little to feel festive about this Christmas. He is returning to the childhood home he never wished to revisit but as the presumptive heir he had put it off long enough – duty prevailed. However, Mother Nature was about to step in and change his traveling plans. Assisting Sophie to her home in the storm which was getting worse found him stranded along with this intrepid young woman. Who was she -really that she could invite him to stay in such splendid home?
Obviously, Vim’s growing attraction for Sophie Windham is the only thing that warms his spirits–but when Sophie’s brothers whisk her away, Vim’s most painful holiday is returning memories are reawakened. It seems Sophie’s keeping secrets, as well as himself and now it will take much more than a mistletoe kiss to make Sophie’s deepest wishes come true…
Absolutely charming and lovely story for the holidays. Characters were fleshed out beautifully and the addition of baby Kit added delightful humor along with the sweet sensuality of a budding love story.
