Tessa Lansa is on the hunt for the manufacturer and dealer of a new drug that is targeting and killing her fellow witches.  She believes that her best clue to finding him is through the Grizzly motorcycle club.  Her best bet was to get close to the their leader, Bear – strong, silent and muscular.  Tessa knew she could help him heal from severe damage to his body after his last battle to save his sister. Getting close to him before she betrayed him would be dangerous, but that was exactly what she had planned.

Deep down Bear knew better than to trust a witch, but he also knew that he was dying a little every day and if he didn’t let Tessa try to heal him he would be dead soon. Plus Bear was having a hard time trying to ignore the pushy little witches lush body and knock-out smile!

***  One of the things I am most sorry for Ms Zanetti is that I didn’t start the Realm Enforcers  from the very beginning.  [Something I plan to rectify in the near future].  I was totally absorbed in WICKED BITE from the very beginning. Not only was Bear a great he-man type hero, but underneath he was just a really big teddy bear!   Tessa, on the other hand, was a kick-ass super witch.  She had healing powers which seeing as how she could inflict so much damage it was probably a good thing she could  then fix what ever she broke – especially if the damage was the end product of a disagreement with Bear!

The dialogs between Bear and Tessa were amusing and their disagreements were sometimes hilarious. Actually, I found the ‘King’ of the realm the funniest but that was before he began to start negotiating with Tessa over another matter.   Then again enter in some of the other immortals from the ‘realm’  who were there to either assist or assassinate and you can find one heck of a lot of entertainment  along with the suspense of who the mole was and where all the leaks in strategy were being fed out to the enemy.  The big question here was who could you trust?

Bottom line:  The action was non-stop; the romance was terrific; and I am going to be looking forward to finding the earlier books to this series because I really enjoyed this author’s writing and sense of humor!!!

Leopard’s Fury

She calms him, she excites him … she is his.

Evangeline Tregre has run from the bayou shifters lair and made a good life for herself. She has leopard shifter blood but has never shifted. She has decided to stay away from that world … until Alonzo Massi walks into her bakery.

Alonzo knows that he can’t get involved with the sweet bakery owner, but he has been compelled to visit her shop. She brings peace to his Amur leopard as no one had ever been able to do. When danger comes her way he has no choice but to step in. He has no choice because no one will endanger what is his. But can Evangeline possibly tame the viscous beast that is very much a part of Alonzo?

LEOPARD’S FURY is another fascinating winner from author Christine Feehan. I did have to go back to the previous “Leopard Novel” books to find out exactly who Evangeline was but once I had, I applauded her escape from the world she was raised in. Both she and Alonzo carry a lot of baggage that had to be worked through and I believe that was done well. There is still a bit of bossiness that is sometimes a little irritating to me, but I guess that is the nature of the men involved as shifters with a cold nature and killer instincts. On the most part the women, Evangeline especially, knows what to say and do to sooth the beast within.

I enjoy renewing acquaintances with past characters of any series and loved watching these “bad guys” as they try to clean up their part of the world as best they can. The outsiders might believe they are part of the mafia or gangster world but they and those that love them know the truth. If you are a fan of these novels you know what I mean and if not … you have got to read all of Ms. Feehan’s leopard books to understand.

If you want action, sometimes violent and dangerous; strong alpha heroes; sweet but with strength of steel heroines; and love that will last through any storm then LEOPARD’S FURY is exactly the book for you.

Beast of All

Andy McNeilly’s life has become a living nightmare. Two months ago she was kidnapped by the SRD and pumped full of drugs. Those drugs have made her lose contact with her feras, thus leaving her without the ability to shift. She has even lost touch with the beast within her. The only thing she can think of is to escape and seek revenge on everyone she considers the enemy.

Now all Andy has to do is heal, get back her feras and recover her strength. All before the many bad guys take her out of the picture. And now days she isn’t even sure who she should consider a friend, so who can she turn to for help?

BEAST OF ALL is fantastic!! I have heard many people say, and even said it myself, that I couldn’t put a book down … well this one was IMPOSSIBLE to put down. I have read all of the Carus books by J.C. McKenzie and though I will miss this series BEAST OF ALL was a perfect ending to an amazing series. It gives Andy closure in many area, including that of the heart, which I can’t go into as I do not do spoilers. She also gets to clean up some areas that needed badly to be cleaned up and kicks some righteous butt in the process. Something she is very good at by the way. All the Carus books are in my to-read-again shelf and I can’t wait to see what else Ms. McKenzie brings her readers.
